Jacqueline Carroll

PT

Jacqueline joined the JAG PT team in 2017. Jacqueline brings with her over 20 years of experience working in varying settings; including acute care, inpatient rehab, head injury, chronic pain and workers compensation. Her focus over the last twelve years has been on the outpatient setting. Jacqueline particularly enjoys working on injuries of the shoulder and knee, sports injuries, underlying neurological diagnoses as well as with patients who require vestibular therapy. Jacqueline feels that it is important for patients to understand their diagnosis and be an active participant in their own rehabilitation process; including setting goals that they wish to obtain and activities they strive to return to. When Jacqueline is not at work, she enjoys spending time with family and friends and being outdoors as well as rooting for the NY Giants and NY Rangers.

Vestibular Therapy

The vestibular system, which is located in the inner ear, regulates balance, which means it’s vital for basic activities like movement. A vestibular system dysfunction can disrupt your life with symptoms like nausea and vertigo, but our vestibular therapy specialization offers effective, lasting relief.

Graston Technique

Adhesions, or abnormal bands of tissue, can be the result of injury, an operation, or an idiopathic health condition, and can cause symptoms like musculoskeletal pain and impaired limb movement. Adhesions are also characteristic of frozen shoulder, also known as adhesive capsulitis of the shoulder. The Graston technique is a PT modality using specialized tools to wear down adhesions and let the body dissolve them naturally.

Sally is the best hand theropist I ever had . Struggling in pain for over 5 years in my nerves from someone breaking my wrist. Also eraina the shoulder Theripist is very wonderful . She had strong hands and stretches my arm that relives years of built up pain after operations . I’ve had 3 surgeries and I went to this place all messed up with nerve issues too and I felt comfortable with these people actually caring about my issues . Sally goes above and beyond for her patients and she’s very skilled in her job she takes the time to understand what the issue is and I’ve never found anyone to help me I feel blessed I found this Theropy office ?

After having a knee replacement, my physician referred me to PT to aid in the healing process. Since I started working with JAG and John Shlimoun, I believe that this process has been quicker and easier. Kudos to the entire staff, and 5 Stars to John Shlimoun and the rest of the PT team, their professionalism and knowledge far exceeds what I had expected and I would highly recommend them to others.

I have been going to Jag in Hawthorne for a few months now, My PT is Christopher Forella, He is excellent therapist, easy going, personable, and of course worked my body and muscles so that I could get stronger and feel better. He gives the right amount of strength in his work, I found others to be on the weaker side when I was not able to see him. I needed firmer movement and massage to make my back feel better. I would highly recommend Jag PT everyone is helpful and friendly. Chris was excellent DPT he helped me improve my right knee torn meniscus with all the exercises he taught me. He was very patient and knowledgeable. Everyone there steps up to help if you need assistance. They are a great team!

About 12 years ago I tore my Achilles’ tendon and caused some major damage to the rest of my right ankle. I have been to a couple different physical therapists over the years for my foot. Each one has never truly made a difference with my issues.they just treated my one foot. After being in more pain than I could stand I went to a foot doctor and got recommended to JAG One. Jackie and team are amazing. My first day there Jackie did a full exam of not just my feet and ankles but my legs too! Turns out my issues were much more than just my ankle.Overall I have had a pretty decent improvement in not only strength but range of movement, less pain and more stability. They really know what they are doing here! If you got issues that physical therapy can help solve look no further!

AMAZING PLACE!I am beyond impressed with JAG Therapy. I have had PT in other facilities so I really didn’t have great expectations. JAG is exceptionally clean, well-run, and the staff is fabulous, friendly and professional. They take exceptional care of all their patients. From the front office staff, to the assistant PT’s to the Physical therapists, they are so wonderful and helpful.My PT, Jackie is very knowledgeable, friendly and hands-on. Before I came here, I had chiropractic care for over a month and I still was in acute pain, could not straighten my leg completely, and badly limping. I went to my orthopedist who suggested physical therapy. I am two weeks in, and Jackie has gotten me out of acute pain. I am now walking without limping. If I could yell from the roof top how wonderful she is and how thankful I am for Jag, believe me I would. I am so grateful that I found this place.

I just finished physical therapy with Jacqueline Carroll. She was recommended by my neurologist as I was having trouble with balance after a fall. She was knowledgeable and comforting at the same time. I always felt I was in 'safe hands' with her and would recommend her highly.

I am an 87 year old with lower back pain who has received excellent care at Jag.All of the staff are professional in manner, welcoming, encouraging and supportive. They keep me well-informed. The therapist who originally examined me was thorough and set up a program that is helping reduce my discomfort.The facilities are attractive and complete, and staff continually clean and always wear masks.

Jag has the best physical therapists and friendly staff. Last year I underwent a complicated knee operation. Tom and Ivo gave me the best care possible. Without them I would not have been able to recover in order to have the second part of that knee surgery which I had a few weeks ago. I recommend jag to anyone who asks. They are knowledgeable and patient and took the time to always check in with me to see how I am feeling. Tom took the time to speak to my doctor to go over recovery plans and helped with insurance issues. What I liked most about my experience is how they know the balance between pushing you and knowing when you need to rest. I am a few weeks post op and I know I am in the best care at Jag.
