Anissa Brathwaite

PT, DPT

Anissa Brathwaite, PT, DPT graduated from D’Youville College with a Bachelor of Science degree in Health Services, and later obtained her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from D’Youville University. She first began at JAG PT as a PT aide while studying for her Board Examination, and has been with the company ever since. She enjoys working with all populations and conditions. Her favorite at this time is post-operative care for orthopedic conditions, as well as cases that allows her to put her problem-solving skills into action. Outside of JAG PT, she enjoys playing basketball for the NYC Pride Basketball League, working with the Elm Project for their Leaders in Training Program, and Camp AmeriKids where she volunteers almost every summer. Anissa is a Board Certified Physical Therapist, certified Graston Technique ® therapy provider, proficient in Kinesio taping, and is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association.

I feel jag one has helped my condition. I've been to physical therapy before somewhere else but jag one really give you a good work out and the place has friendly workers . I would recommend this place to others

It’s my second time here. Very happy so far. Everyone is very friendly. You feel they care. Place is small but comfortable and clean. Already see improvements after total hip replacement surgery. Special thanks to Ralph . He made me feel great to come back the next day and I’ll keep going and follow his instructions for total recovery. Thanks ti everyone in the jag one.

Home away from home. In other words very PEACEFUL, friendly, clean, convenient hours, and location for me is a double plus, motivated to push myself hard. Staff is very in tune with their clients. Will work with you when or it a situation arise, like financial. Thank you.

I chose this practice based on convenience and proximity to my job and I am so glad I did. Have you ever been to the medical setting version of Cheers? Well this practice is where everybody knows your name. They greet every single patient by name every time they walk through the door. The staff are personable and very welcoming.At this practice they set the standards for professionalism and personable and compassionate care. Granted that pain is what brought me here, I can still laugh through the discomfort as the staff work with me. I am made to feel that it is truly a team effort to get me back to where I need to be. Kudos to the entire team at Jag Starrett City!!

I've been to a few physical therapist & I have to say Jag is the best I've been to,they really target your pain Ms,Braithwaite is awesome her crew is friendly & don't get me started on the Playlist,the music really makes you get into your workout,I would recommend Jag to anyone ??

I first went to Jag One on Flatlands Avenue back in March of 2021 after having a partial knee replacement surgery. My physical therapist Ralph Guingon is the most amazing person that I came across during my recovery, he pushed me to complete my exercises that really helped me with my recovery he really cared and constantly reminded me of the importance of continuing doing the exercises that he thought me at ho and because of that I can gladly say that it paid off. I recently had another partial knee replacement on my right knee this year and I was happy and fortunate to have Ralph as my therapist again because I knew what the outcome will be after my other knee done. So far I doing great thanks to the help I received from Ralph in no time I will be back to the life I deserve. Thank you Ralph!

I have had an overall great experience at Jag! My therapist Anisa B. has what I call "magic hands"! Every time I leave I feel so much better. Everyone on staff are respectful and make you feel welcome. This is my second go-round with PT and I wouldn't go anywhere else!

Awesome and Amazing!!! The staff are so professional, caring , courteous etc....just simply the best!!

I had a very positive experience at JAG PT Starrett City office. Craig was my PT and he was attentive, knowledgeable, professional and made me feel at ease about my treatment process. When he worked with other clients, his staff carried out my treatment plan and made my treatment a very fun experience. I really enjoyed the music each time I went. As a dancer, their eclectic music taste/choices in the office helped me to connect more with my treatment. The staff have a unique and personal way of connecting with each client and it was refreshing to witness this each visit. I wish more PT offices were run like this!! Although my treatment has come to an end, I would highly recommend this office to anyone seeking physical therapy! – Anita P.

What can I say but no better place to get you pick on your feet feeling good. It starts once you walk in the greeting the hello where have you been vibe and happy to see you. A great home feeling but there going to work you hard and challenge you mentally and physically. To get you back where you want to be. 5 stars the team there knowledgeable caring and fun.
