Michael Cascio
PT, DPT, OCS
Mike graduated from James Madison University in 2015 with his B.S. in Kinesiology – Exercise Science. During his time at JMU Mike played for the collegiate Rugby team, where they won a Division II National Championship. In 2019, Mike graduated from Rutgers University with his Doctorate in Physical Therapy, where he served as President of the Student Physical Therapy Association. After graduating, Mike was hired by the Rutgers Physical Therapy Program as an Adjunct Faculty member, where he has been involved in Anatomy, Kinesiology and Biomechanics, Musculoskeletal PT, and Neurological PT class and lab instruction.
In his pursuit to perpetually improve his clinical skills and patient outcomes, Mike has taken a number of additional courses and certifications such as becoming a Certified Hip Specialist with the Hospital of Special Surgeries in New York, a Titleist Performance Institute certified specialist, and an Orthopedic Clinical Specialist.
While Mike enjoys working with a diverse patient population, his specialties and areas of interest include personalized orthopedic rehabilitation, sport and athletic rehabilitation including performance training, balance and functional strengthening programs, and return to running programs. Mike believes every patient’s experience in Physical Therapy should be unique to their specific abilities and goals, and a personalized approach with an emphasis on patient education is essential for meaningful and sustainable outcomes.
Outside of Physical Therapy, Mike enjoys fitness training including Cross fit and running, watching and playing sports, hiking, surfing, and spending time with friends and family.
